The Member of Parliament for Winchester and Chandler's Ford spent a morning with South Wonston Parish Councillors to hear about their campaign to bring a memorial garden to the village.
Ann, June and Rachel, all of the Parish Council, took Steve around a possible site for the garden - utilising unused MoD land.
Steve said : "I'm really excited by the Parish Council's proposals and I know many local residents will be to. I'll be working with them and local councillors to help bring this memorial garden, and community allotment, to life. Such a lovely idea and one I am determined to help with."
