The Year 6 pupil follows in the footsteps of previous winners Dan Smyth, Daisy Conway, Eleanor Ring, Liam Skeat, Ellis Gauntlett Boak and Gabrielle Panayides, and won first place with a painting of robins exchanging a Christmas gift. Findlay now wins a family ticket for this year's Peter Pan pantomime courtesy of Theatre Royal Winchester.
As well as the main prize, there were also a range of year group winners and commendations.
Ruby Richardson from Itchen Abbas Primary School won the Year 5 competition, while
Oscar Squibbs from Hiltingbury Junior School won the Year 4 category. Amelie Whiting from Harestock Primary School won the Year 3 competition and Harry Tilley from St Faith's CofE Primary School won the Year 2 award.
Rafay Hussain from Oliver's Battery Primary School won the Year 1 competition, and Annabelle Wright from St Faith's CofE Primary School won the Reception Year prize.
Special commendations were also given to Ava Child from Prince's Mead School (Year 5), Tobias Hill (Year 6), Elyse Blum (Year 3) and Evelyn Murdoch (Year 4), all from St Faith's CofE Primary School.
The Year Group winners once again all receive family tickets to Marwell Wildlife, and all the paintings are now on display in the Children's Library at the Winchester Discovery Centre until Christmas.
Steve Brine said: "This was another great year for entries to the competition and I am hugely grateful to all busy teachers for making time to allow the children to take part. Many thanks also to our sponsors, Theatre Royal Winchester, Marwell Wildlife and Winchester Discovery Centre who once more have been so kind and accommodating with their time and resources.
"My congratulations go to Findlay, whose design will be sent to the Queen and the Prime Minister among others, and all the Year Group and Commendation winners."
