The MP says he wants to see organisers and local police around one table as soon as possible to explain how the event, held at the Matterley Bowl, descended into a "potentially dangerous farce."
Mr Brine said; "We clearly need to establish the facts but reports reaching me suggest many people who paid not insignificant sums for tickets ending up missing the gig altogether due to problems accessing the site. I've had reports of young girls having to be dropped of some distance from the site and running along the road-side and young kids pushing cars out of the mud in the early hours.
"I know lots of my young, and not so young, constituents have been looking forward to this event for months. I am extremely disturbed to hear these early reports of what could have turned into a potentially dangerous farce."
The MP said he had met with Winchester police on Friday morning and had raised the subject of this and future events at the venue as part of a general meeting with new Winchester Chief Inspector Steve Fulton.
Mr Brine added that he was asking local people who had attended last nights event, or tried to, to contact him with their experiences via [email protected]
