Two young readers helped Steve browse the huge range of books and select some for his forthcoming storytelling session on the 1st November. The 'Charlie and Lola' books became a firm favourite with Steve's audience despite his best efforts to get 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' into the final choice. Steve's storytelling session will take place at 12noon in the Children's Library at Winchester Discovery Centre and is free of charge to attend for children aged 3+.
Steve said: "The Wessex Children's Book Festival is a fantastic half-term activity to have in the city, and all credit to the Winchester Discovery Centre for leading it. Families here have so much to look forward to, not just this October but in the exciting months now leading up to Christmas"
Winchester Discovery Centre will host this year's Wessex Children's Book Festival between 26th October and 2nd November with Sir Tony Robinson, CBeebies' Cerrie Burnell and author Eoin Colfer leading the way for a galaxy of authors, illustrators and workshops to entertain children and families through the week.
