The Colden Common MP, who took his young son William and Popcorn, met some of the coaches and parents and checked out the clubhouse facilities, as well as chatting about the club with Club Secretary Alan Fountain.
Alan told Steve about the difficulties they have had this year due to the weather and the ongoing problem they have finding match officials, which often end up being (albeit qualified) parents to keep the show on the road.
Steve Brine said: "This is a thriving club which is providing football for a large number of lads. It was excellent to hear of their teams, meet some of the boys and talk about future plans.
"Being there on a bitterly cold Sunday morning brought back many memories of my life for many years growing up and hopefully planted a seed with young William who enjoyed the space for a kick-about."
