Steve Brine visited Prince’s Mead School on Friday 18th January.

The Winchester MP dropped in to meet with the new Head, Peter Thacker, as they discussed current events and future plans for the independent school based at Abbots Worthy.

Steve was also able to take some time to speak with the School Council and answer their questions about Brexit and the work of an MP.

Speaking afterwards, Steve Brine said: “I was delighted to be able to pop by, and especially happy to sit down with Peter Thacker for the first time since he has taken over running the school.

“I really enjoyed the chat with the School Council too, and loved meeting the official school tortoise!”

Hampshire Chronicle column - Farewell

Thursday, 30 May, 2024
My final column is perhaps more reflective than usual but I hope you will forgive me as I prepare to formally step down as Parliament is formally Dissolved ahead of the General Election on July 4. Fourteen years ago, in May 2010, I was first elected as our MP.
