Local residents and campaigners in Highcliffe have ramped up their campaign to improve road safety on Petersfield Road, inviting their Member of Parliament to a meeting.

In June 2022 the MP for Winchester and Chandler's Ford, Steve Brine met one of the campaigners to hear early concerns regarding speeding and lack of pedestrian provisions on Petersfield Road, specifically near All Saints' CofE Primary School and church.

Mr Brine was joined by Councillor Dominic Hiscock of Hampshire County Council who represents the area.

Steve said : "It was was good to regroup with residents in Highcliffe to refocus their badly needed campaign for a safer Petersfield Road. We can expect to hear a lot more from this group in weeks to come.
