Steve Brine visited Twyford St Mary's Primary School on Friday 27th March to see their new interactive classroom boards.
The touchscreen smart boards have been fitted to five classrooms in the village primary taking interactive learning a step further.
Steve was welcomed by Bruce Greig, chair of governors, who said, "We're delighted to be investing in the technology of the future in our school to help our children realise their full potential."
The boards are proving popular with children as they were keen to point out. Samuel said: "I love the way it makes doing handwriting easier", while Camilla added that she liked being able to reach all the way to the top which was not possible with the previous white boards.
Steve Brine visited a number of classrooms and heard from children about their projects. He fielded questions about being an MP and joined in on a maths session.
During his visit Steve took the time to congratulate Twyford St Mary's School on their recent attainment. Their 2014 SATs results saw Twyford St Mary's School celebrate another strong year of academic achievement.
The primary school was ranked second in Hampshire and in the top 2% of schools nationwide placing them 44th out of over 16,000 schools.
Mrs Chapman, Headteacher, said of the results, "This is a wonderful achievement! We are very proud of all our hard working pupils and our excellent staff who have enabled these excellent results to happen."
The school is preparing for another round of testing in the 2015 SATs and will be using their new interactive boards to every advantage.
