Local MP, Steve Brine, spent time at Thornden School as he has a long-needed, face to face, catch up with the Headteacher, Su Whelan and students.
Steve had briefly dropped into Thornden for an event celebrating the reopening of the new and improved Thornden Hall, which had been opened in September after a three year closure.
Steve and Su covered a wide range of topics, including how the school has got on over the past 20 months, the start to their autumn term and the school’s plans/views as the new year approaches.
The pair also spent time with five Year 11 students to discuss politics and current affairs.
After the meeting and visit, Steve said; “It is always a pleasure to chat with Su and this time was even better as I got to spend some quality time some of the Year 11 students.”
