Improved plans for M3 junction 9 went on show at the first of two community exhibitions today.
National Highways were at Tesco Extra in Winnall on Sunday, September 25 - and Monday 26 - with representatives from contractors Volker Fitzpatrick and designer Stantec to meet residents and local MP, Steve Brine, dropped by.
The scheme for an upgrade Junction 9 has been planned since 2018, with a public consultation taking place in 2019.
Alan Feist, from National Highways, said: “Lots of people turned up and it was nice to meet everybody. We are taking the opportunity to make people aware of the changes that have happened.
"We are about to submit the planning application in November and we are hoping to start work in spring 2024 and complete in 2027. I encourage people to come down and find out more about the scheme."
Steve Brine said: “It was great to meet the National Highways team and see the updated plans, which will increase capacity, help reduce journey times and improve safety.
“To anyone who missed the engagement events, I would encourage them to visit the new online information portal to learn more about the improvements and see the changes following the last consultation.”
Another event takes place tomorrow, Monday, September 26, from 10am to 4pm at Tesco Extra, Easton Lane, Winnall.
