Steve Brine popped into the Samaritans in central Winchester for an early morning visit to hear about the important work they do and meet the branch Director, Wayne Fletcher.
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, they take action to prevent the crisis. They give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives.
The MP learned how the team in Winchester help local residents and an early response to the new suicide strategy published that week.
