Steve Brine met with Clearly on Wednesday 18th April, a global charity which aims is to bring clear vision to the 2.5 billion people worldwide who are denied it. They do this by campaigning, championing new innovations, and partnering with other related NGOs.
Steve met with Clearly's founder, James Chen, and CEO Will Straw, to discuss their work, as well as the role of the Commonwealth Health Ministers meeting while Britain is "chair in office" if, as expected, the communique includes language on vision, and the World Health Organisation's 'World Report on Vision' which is due to be published in October to mark World Sight Day.
In addition, they went through Clearly's own research programme which will examine the links between vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.
