Steve Brine hosted a group of children from Itchen Abbas Primary School in the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 19th November.
In total, 24 children from year 5 and year 6, visited Westminster, and Kingfishers class teacher Michelle Walton said: "They had such a great time during the day. Some children were really inspired and are now considering politics as a future career choice!"
Steve said: "I am delighted the children had such a great time, and was able to field a range of interesting questions, including explaining why I am a Conservative.
"The day was not without incident, either, as there were a group of Gurkhas gathered outside. I was able to explain their proud history fighting as part of the British Army, as well as highlighting the importance of free speech and the right to peacefully air grievances in the heart of our national democracy."
