Winchester Police are stepping up their efforts this Summer to drive down incidences of so-called anti-social behaviour.

He dropped in to see the excellent work of the Alresford Youth Association recently and is pictured with a group of young people as well as Chief Inspector Rachel Farrell and Alresford PCSO’s Stephen Hull/Helen Ashcroft.
The initiative, which runs from mid-July through mid-September, is taking a positive spin to help communities better understand and support young people.
Officers from across the force will be working with partners and volunteers to increase the provision of youth services, investing in education campaigns to parents such as 'Do you know where your child is?' and providing additional resources to be proactive in 'hotspot areas' where communities are affected by antisocial behaviour.
The Winchester force stress they will be working with as many statutory and voluntary sector partners as possible to acheive their aims across the Winchester District, including;
- Reduce reported incidents of rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour
- Reduce reported incidents of anti-social use of motor vehicles
- Reduced criminal damage offences
