The pupils and staff from Twyford St. Mary's C of E Primary warmly welcomed Steve Brine, MP for Winchester, to officially open their new classroom as Reverend Jonah Watts gave a special blessing for the classroom and for all those who will benefit from its use.
Steve last visited the school early in the summer, as the school was taking delivery of the classroom.
Speaking after Monday's visit, Steve said: "The last time I saw this new classroom it was several hundred feet above the school being winched in by an enormous crane. Now it looks as if it was always part of the school.
"It was such a pleasure to come back, officially open the new building and meet so many of the staff and children who are rightly very excited at the new addition to this very old school."
