Steve Brine took his family to their first fete of the year as St Mary's Church played host to the 2014 Kings Worthy fete.
While the weather was wet, there was much on offer and so many local people braved the conditions to take part in the afternoon.
One highlight was the Ugandan group WATOTO who performed live from inside St Mary's Church.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "This is not the first wet Kings Worthy fete we've attended but it didn't dampen the spirit. The kids enjoyed themselves and it was good as always to meet so many constituents.
"The Uganda group WATOTO were an absolute revelation; our little Emily was transfixed and has talked of little else since the fete."
