The BBC's popular Antiques Roadshow, hosted by Fiona Bruce, is coming to Winchester Cathedral on Thursday September 23rd.
Local residents are invited to bring along their antiques and collectables for examination and valuation by the programme’s resident experts, as the show enters its 33rd series.
Steve has found a small window in a packed Thursday in the constituency to drop in.
He said: “The Antiques Roadshow is hugely popular, and this is borne out by the fact the show is now in its 33rd series. The real appeal is that normal people can have a hunt around their loft and pop along and get a credible expert valuation, and learn a lot about the history behind their objects.
“I’m really happy that Winchester Cathedral is able to provide a beautiful and historic setting, and I hope that everybody has a really good time. You never know, a few people may be in for a very nice surprise.”
Doors open at 9.30 am and close at 4.30pm, and entry is free.
The transmission dates are currently planned for 23rd and 30th of January 2011, on BBC1.
