A truly unique parent and parent to be event was held in central Winchester today and local MP Steve Brine dropped in to meet the organisers and many of their stallholders.
Brought to life by local mum's, Catherine and Sarah, Bump & Boo combines local businesses with all things pregnancy and baby and was held on Sunday 27th January from 10:30-3:30 at Winchester Guildhall.
Steve, joined by his children Emily (11) and William (8) and wife Susie who works in a pre-school setting, spent time chatting with many of the local businesses taking part and learning about their products/services.
He said; "I have met Catherine previously through the local NCT so was really pleased when she and Sarah sent me details of this superb event. Not only is it really important to help soon-to-be or new parents navigate the minefield that is parenting, it is so great to showcase the wide range of local businesses working in this area.
"We have always known what a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit we have in Winchester and it was on show big time today. It was good to see established local organisations such as Integr8Dance alongside Pilates from Fulflood, a paediatric dietitian and early years professionals helping new parents make the right connections with their baby.
"I think the Bump & Boo concept is really strong and absolutely of its time. I can't wait to see what they do next."
