Sunday 14th July saw dynamic duo Sarah and Catherine host their successful parenthood event at Guildhall Winchester.

The event, which started out as an idea during a midnight feeding and texting session between two new mums, has quickly grown into a one-stop-shop family day that seeks to support parents in the Winchester area from early pregnancy to Pre School.

Attended by many of Winchester’s VIPs including Madame Mayor, Cllr Eleanor Bell and many local Mum Bloggers was opened by local MP Steve Brine.

Steve Brine MP said;: “Bump and Boo is such a brilliant event and it’s clear how much it’s growing and how new stall-holders are being added each time. Anyone locally who is expecting or with a pre-schooler will find so much of interest and practical use at their events.”

Catherine and Sarah reflected: “The event was such a joyous occasion with everyone involved celebrating the wonder of parenthood.”

The passionate pair have even created their own hashtag for their events #watchmegrowwinch.

Sarah reveals: “The hashtag brings together everything we want to support; growing communities, growing businesses and growing babies with our passion being the growing families in our home town, Winchester.

“The hashtag also seems particularly fitting as this was first event where one or both of the pair wasn’t pregnant.”

“During the course of the last 18 months the business and parenting communities of Winchester have literally watched Sarah and I grow our very own Bumps who are now our own little Boos!”

Hampshire Chronicle column - Farewell

Thursday, 30 May, 2024
My final column is perhaps more reflective than usual but I hope you will forgive me as I prepare to formally step down as Parliament is formally Dissolved ahead of the General Election on July 4. Fourteen years ago, in May 2010, I was first elected as our MP.
