Now in its fourth year, the tour which takes place each Summer while Parliament is in recess, consists of street surgeries, knocking on hundreds of doors across the MP's Winchester & Chandler's Ford constituency and even a supermarket surgery, held again this year at Sainsbury's Badger Farm.
As well as a number of city centre venues, Mr Brine visited Sutton Scotney, Old Alresford, Colden Common, Sparsholt, Stanmore and Itchen Abbas. He held a special street surgery at the Fryern Arcade in Chandler's Ford to kick off this year's programme.
Steve says; "Despite the implication from certain sections of the media that every MP spends the entire summer recess on the beach, the truth is many of us work hard in August and take our family holiday over a fortnight before the schools go back like everyone else. This year's Summer Tour was hard going because we did more dates than ever before but it's always great fun to meet so many different people and I actually picked up a great deal of new casework as I go.
"A special thank you to the team at Badger Farm Sainsbury's who made us so welcome and if I provided a temporary distraction from the weekly shop I'm glad to be of service!"
