Alresford food store & coffee shop Caracoli has been nominated for a prestigious national award.

The popular shop has been nominated in the Telegraph Best Small Shops in Britain Award, which is endorsed by retail guru Mary Portas, and is one of just three such shops in the running for the Food Category prize.

Alresford's MP, Steve Brine, said: "I only live a few minutes down the road from Caracoli and have seen the business set-up and grow in recent years. I am full of admiration for the way Caracoli is doing business here, and wish them all the very best of luck at the awards ceremony."

The results will be decided by an award panel of judges from the Telegraph on 22nd February.
