The Westgate School held a busy careers evening on Wednesday 27th April, with businesses, institutions and the services on hand to chat with children and parents about future employment opportunities.
Following a recent conversation with the school, Steve Brine arranged for some of his team to be present, where they spoke to interested students not only about the role of an MP, but also how Parliament works, as well as the sheer variety of roles on offer.
Speaking afterwards, Steve Brine said: "It was great to be able to support this event, as one of my passions is reaching out to young people and showing them just how accessible politics is, despite what various media outlets may say!
"I plan to return to Westgate shortly so that I can have a really focussed session with a group of youngsters who showed a real interest in finding out more, and I am very much looking forward to that."
