Nightshelter 30th birthday

Steve Brine dropped into Milner Hall on Saturday 8th September as he joined Winchester Churches Night Shelter in celebrating their 30th birthday.

Open 365 days a year, WCNS offers an essential lifeline and first port of call for those in crisis. Based on Jewry Street, they provide high quality accommodation and food, a safe and caring temporary home, as well as specialist support to restore self-esteem, develop skills, and support people back into long-term accommodation and independent living. Their aim is to enable people to rebuild their lives and escape homelessness for good, and they have been well-supported by Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council.

Steve Brine MP said: "Thirty years is a huge achievement for this charity which so many of us support. I look forward to working with Michele and the many volunteers as the Nightshelter continues to fulfil its mission in our city."
