The Hampshire Community Rail Partnership hosted a one-year birthday celebration at the Paltform1shawford cafe with the launch of a new station history panel and display highlighting the time actress, Sophia Loren, came to Shawford.
The great-great-great Grandson of one of the first Station Master's at Shawford, in the 1880s, unveiled the new history display.
Andrew has carried on his families legacy, working on the rail network as a guard for South Western Railway.
Steve Brine, the MP for Winchester and Chandler's Ford, who visited the cafe during construction in April 2022 said: "After one meeting at Platform1shawford this morning it was time to celebrate - with Three Rivers Community Rail Partnership and Marco the manager - for their one year anniversary and to unveil some rather fabulous new display boards. "
