Winchester and Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine has reacted with disgust after an Alresford butchers was broken into and charity tins were stolen.
The incident happened on Friday 5th November, as thieves smashed a hole in the front door of Soles Butchers, on Broad Street.
They then used a chopper to break open the till, where they made off with around £100. Poppy Appeal and Lifeboat Appeal tins containing around £50 were also taken.
Steve said: “I am appalled not only about the break-in itself, but also that this money, for two very important causes, has so heartlessly been stolen.
“I can only hope that those responsible feel suitably ashamed of themselves and decide to do the right thing.”
