Staff and pupils at Osborne School in Winchester joined Steve Brine in the House of Commons on Wednesday 12th June to celebrate their new Andover Road crossing.
They had lobbied Steve last year, writing to him and even travelling to Parliament to make the case, and following the completion of the work by Hampshire County Council in April, came to thank their MP for his work on the campaign.
In a busy day, they also managed to take a Parliamentary tour, and engaged in a lively Q&A session with Steve afterwards.
Steve said: "I could tell just how excited the kids were from the excellent questions they put to me, and I know the atmosphere of the House is something truly special- whether here for the first time or working here full time.
"It was great to see the crossing campaign come full circle from when I hosted the school here last year, and I am so glad everyone had such a nice time."
