A highly controversial planning application and positive news on a much-needed crossing were among topics which came up when Steve Brine and Jan Warwick spent the morning in Otterbourne on Wednesday 17th April.
Cllr Jan Warwick has previously led opposition to the Gladman application for 90 houses just off the Main Road and has been urging residents to join the Save Otterbourne website so the community can fight this once more.
In positive news, Jan has been delighted that progress is being made on her campaign for a zebra crossing outside the Nisa store, which has received funding from Hampshire County Council. Jan has also applied for money from Winchester City Council.
Steve Brine said: "It was great to be out on the doorsteps with Jan this morning and we covered a huge amount of ground. While there is very encouraging news on Jan's crossing campaign, Gladman have come back once again, with plans for 90 houses in the heart of the village. I strongly encourage local residents to visit Save Otterbourne and I will continue to work with Jan to fight these proposals. "
