Steve Brine has joined local county councillor Fiona Mather is asking residents around Courtenay Road to respond to the city council over the issue of local parking.
Steve said: "The issue of daytime parking on Courtenay Road and Abbotts Road has got steadily worse in recent years and a great many of my constituents living in the area have contacted me asking for my help.
"Alongside local councillors, I have pushed Winchester City Council to consider parking and waiting restrictions and am pleased to see they are now consulting on just that."
Last week, Winchester City Council delivered the letter to residents in Abbotts Close, Abbotts Road, Colley Close, Courtenay Road, Manningford Close, Park Close, Park Court, Park Road (from Worthy Road to Courtenay Road), Stoke Road and Twiss Square.
