Steve Brine joined a host of dignitaries in Highcliffe on Friday 20th May as he helped open a £1.5m new extension.
The Winchester MP was at All Saints C of E Primary School to cut the ribbon with Major Ron Cassidy. The ceremony was also attended by, amongst many others, Bishop Tim Dakin and newly-appointed Mayor, Jane Rutter.
Funding for the building was agreed by HCC leader Cllr Roy Perry, and represented at the opening by the county's Education portfolio-holder Cllr Peter Edgar.
The new building increases capacity at the school with two new, modern classrooms which joins the two existing blocks.
Following the cutting of the ribbon, Steve was shown around the new building by a group of children from the school who were very proud to show their MP around their school.
Steve Brine said: "The last time I visited All Saints plans for the new building were just a dream so to see them fulfilled is huge.
"I was so honoured to be asked to open the new school but, as the Bishop of Winchester wisely said, it's what happens inside that counts most of all and what Nicky and her team have achieved means that is now matched by a first class building."
