Steve has welcomed a new iPhone app which allows cyclists and motorists to immediately report potholes and damaged road surfaces.
The new application reports the problem via the website www.fillthathole.org, which was set up by cyclist organisation CTC, and can alert a local authority within a couple of minutes.
Steve said: “As a keen cyclist I am delighted with this new service, which will really help all road users, including motorists who inadvertently damage their cars as well as fellow cyclists who get hurt.
“Anything that helps local authorities respond swiftly to these problems is ok by me, and I’ll certainly be making use of the facility should I ever need to.”
