After a busy week on the campaign trail, it was off to Winchester High Street on the first Saturday for Prospective MP Steve Brine.
Steve and his young team (pictured) were taking part in a national day of action and support from the Conservatives focused on the NHS. They chatted with shoppers about the party’s proposals for the service and highlighted David Cameron’s plans to make life-saving cancer drugs more freely available to patients.
Steve Brine said; “We were in the High Street last Saturday and it just keeps getting better and better, people are so keen to stop and chat, especially when it comes to issues around the NHS and our own Royal Hampshire County Hospital. The weather was sunny and warm and it was a truly blessed place to spend the first Saturday of the campaign.
“David Cameron has said the NHS will be his priority in Government and it is my number one issue here in Winchester & Chandler’s Ford too. That ranges from support for the RHCH, with maternity and A&E in the long-term to restoring access to NHS dentistry and putting dental checks back into local schools.”
