Steve Brine visited St Cross Hospital on Saturday 7th May as he spoke to the AGM at their annual Friends Day.

Friends of St Cross is now into its fifth year, having launched in 2011, and is an independent charity which seeks to assist the Trustees of the Hospital in funding the maintenance of the property and ground-works within the Hospital precincts. In addition, they organize activities to widen the appreciation of the historical and architectural significance of the Hospital buildings and gardens, and support the Hospital's role as an active community of Brothers.

Steve, who is a member of Friends of St Cross, gave a 30-minute talk entitled "Tales of an old-boy; from Winchester to Westminster", before taking questions from across the floor.

Speaking afterwards, he said: "I really enjoyed my visit today, and it was an honour to be asked to speak at this very special charity's AGM. The work they do is invaluable, and I would urge my constituents to take a look at their website to learn more about what they do."
