International hairdresser Guy Kremer proved he was a cut above the rest this month after donating £1,600 to national charity, Breast Cancer Haven.

A passionate supporter of breast cancer charities, Guy used his salon in Winchester to fundraise the money.

Guy said: 'Breast Cancer Haven is a charity that is close to my heart. I've witnessed how devastating a breast cancer diagnosis can be for a woman. 1 in 8 women get breast cancer at some point in their lives and I want to help my local Breast Cancer Haven centre to support more women that are affected.'

The cheque was accepted by Pamela Healy OBE, Breast Cancer Haven Chief Executive, who said: 'We are so delighted that Guy has chosen to fundraise for us. He is a long- term supporter of the charity and as such a well-known international hairdresser we consider ourselves privileged to have his support.'

Steve Brine, MP for Winchester added: 'It is great that one of the leading businesses in Winchester is keen to support this important breast cancer charity which provides such vital support to women affected by breast cancer.'

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women through their breast cancer treatment. When breast cancer tries to rob a woman of her individuality, confidence or strength, Breast Cancer Haven provide a tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support that helps her hold on to them.

There are currently 3,000 people in treatment for breast cancer in Hampshire. It costs Breast Cancer Haven £1,000 for every person they help and donations are vital in ensuring they can help more people affected by breast cancer.
