Steve Brine confirms from Conference that the Conservatives will scrap HiP's.

Speaking from the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham, Prospective Winchester MP Steve Brine confirmed help for the struggling local housing market and a new plan for reducing domestic carbon footprints;

"The Government is in denial about the state of the housing market but we know that their red tape has exacerbated the situation.

"The Shadow Housing Minister Grant Shapps, has confirmed to me that we will scrap the useless, expensive, bureaucratic Home Information Packs to make it easier to sell your house.

"We have also announced today a new Carbon Co-operation Plan designed to help businesses improve the energy efficiency of their employees' homes - and have that domestic carbon reduction count against their own output.

Tesco have already backed the Tory plan which will mean "Employees will benefit through lower energy bills, businesses will benefit by reaching their zero carbon objectives and so much of our existing housing stock will be permanently improved."
