On Thursday, thousands of individuals and organisations will come together to remember those who were murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. Holocaust Memorial Day is also a time for us to honour the survivors of these atrocities, to join together to learn from the past, and to challenge bigotry, racism and discrimination wherever it occurs in order to create a safer, better future.
To recognise this fact, Steve has decided to light a ‘virtual’ candle on the Holocaust Memorial Day website. You can join Steve, and many more who have decided to support this event, by visiting www.hmd.org.uk.
