Steve joined NW Hants MP Sir George Young and Cycling Champion Cllr Andrew Gibson at St Swithun's school on Saturday 4th September to start a cycle ride for Cancer Research UK.

Sir George, who is also Leader of the House of Commons, joined Andrew and the team for the first few miles of the trip, which paused 33 miles down the road in Portsmouth, before setting off on a gruelling journey through France and Spain down to Gibraltar.

Steve said: “As a member of the All-Party Cycling Group and with my deep interest in fighting cancer, you can imagine I was thrilled to pop along and help start the ride.”

Inspired Living was set up in 2009 to inspire ordinary men & women to adopt healthier lifestyles to reduce their risk of contracting cancer. They also seek to produce medical research information and raise £1m for Cancer Research UK.

Steve added: “I know that Andrew is also a keen cyclist, well you’d have to be to embark on this adventure, and I’d like to congratulate everybody taking part in raising money for this very worthy cause.”
