Youngsters from Itchen Abbas Primary School took a trip to the House of Commons on Monday 28th November.

They were hosted by their MP, Steve Brine, who met up with them in Portcullis House after they had taken a tour of the historic palace with Headteacher Andrew Robson.

Steve, who took a Q & A session over lunchtime sandwiches, said: "The pupils from Itchen Abbas were a delight to host today. They were very inquisitive and I really enjoyed fielding a range of questions from them today."

The catchment area of the school includes Itchen Abbas itself, as well as Martyr Worthy, Avington and Steve's home village of Easton.

Steve continued: "I hope they really enjoyed the visit and it is as memorable for them as my first time in the atmospheric Palace of Westminster was for me!"
