Kings Worthy and Winchester MP, Steve Brine, is continuing to work with local councillors to address the unacceptable noise residents of Kings Worthy have experienced since the railway line was replaced earlier this year.

After awaiting the 'regrind' of the new track over the Summer months, Steve has written to the Chief Executive of Network Rail, Mark Carne, explicitly requesting information on the commencement dates for this work to be carried out.

Steve Brine said: "I continue to listen and represent my constituents in Kings Worthy to ensure that the railway tracks no longer produce the noise levels we have recently seen.

I welcome the planned re-grinding in the coming months but I am pushing Network Rail for a confirmed date of commencement. I will strive to keep my constituents updated on any news I receive and continue to resolve this issue."
