Steve and his family spent part of the Bank Holiday on Church Green in King's Worthy enjoying all the fun of the fete.

This year, the fete was opened by Professor Joy Carter, Vice Chancellor of the University of Winchester, and there were over 60 stalls ranging from the traditional cake and plant stalls through to fairground rides and even a scout challenge.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: “We went along last year and the organisers have obviously worked very hard because it was bigger and better - and much busier!  The noticeable thing about Kings Worthy fete is the number of local organisations represented, it’s a real community event as much as it is a Summer fete with all the usual ice-cream and candy floss.

“Emily would go nowhere near the spinning tea cups last year but we couldn’t get her off this time.  We all had a terrific time and enjoyed the chance to meet up with lots of other young families we know locally.”
