Steve Brine held a busy street surgery with a range of local councillors on Saturday 28th June, as he met a huge number of constituents under the Kingsgate arch.
The Winchester MP was joined by popular councillors Fiona Mather, Robert Sanders and Ian Tait (as well as Popcorn, of course) and the two-hour session flew by as they were inundated with passers-by stopping to chat.
Steve said: "This is a great venue for street surgery, especially when the heavens open as they did this day because we could hold the surgery under the Kingsgate.
"It's a really busy spot as people enter through the ancient city gate to do their weekend shopping in town. Between the councillors and I, we had a wide range of issues raised with us including a great deal of support for the Prime Minister over his opposition to Jean-Claude Juncker becoming the next EU Commission President."
