Local campaigner James Byrnes is picking up the baton in assisting residents concerned with the lack of lighting at the Priors Dean Road shopping parade.
James said: "The lighting here is completely non-existent to the point of being dangerous. Neither of the ward's Councillors have done anything about it so I will – I will be writing to the Leader of the County Council to get this situation resolved before an accident or worse takes place".
Local MP Steve Brine added: "I am pleased James has picked this one up following his own local feedback. I know he is looking for thoughts from residents, and I too would be more than happy to hear from anyone who would like to give me their thoughts."
