Local MP, Steve Brine, has met with one of his constituents and the President of the British Veterinary Association, Malcolm Morley, to discuss issues within the industry.
During a meeting in Winchester, Steve and Malcolm had the opportunity to cover issues including the need for a new Veterinary Surgeons Bill, possible amendments to the Kept Animals Bill and the risk Bruxelles canis presents to the human population.
Steve said; "It was a pleasure to have the chance to catch-up with Malcolm and hear about the work of the BVA as well as what they'd like to see from this government. He has certainly left me with some homework and I'll be picking up a number of the issues raised when Parliament returns in January."
