Steve Brine has highlighted a subsidised scheme that allows local residents to save rainwater, as Hampshire teeters on the brink of drought.
Organised by Recycle for Hampshire, residents across the county can purchase a full rain water saver kit for less than £45, which includes a 190 litre water butt, and stand and diverter kit, plus the equipment required for installation.
Steve said: "Although we would barely believe it from the current weather, I am sure the message is getting through that much of the country is officially in drought, and Hampshire is not far off.
"Of course, £45 is a lot of money, but I am sure many residents will be interested in taking a look at the scheme, and I am pleased to be able to provide the details."
