The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP was delighted to meet the group, who took a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster before meeting Steve for tea and biscuits.
Steve Brine said: "Every month since I was elected in 2010 I have written a column for around a dozen parish, church and community magazines and I am in awe of how much hard work they all do to produce their publications each time.
"It's a huge task but worth it as residents read, and more importantly trust, these vital community channels. Today was just about giving the editors a day out in Westminster, a chance to tour this fantastic building and have a cup of tea and a biscuit on me – and to say thank you."
Those attending included Adrian Walmsley and Veronica Bliss from Compton and Shawford, Mary Blaxland and Charlotte Smith from The Worthys, Peter O'Keefe from The Dever Magazine, Tony Gaster & Charlotte Appleby from the Itchen Valley, Jean Frost from the Oxdrove magazine, Jill Sayer and her son Richard from Alresford, Katy Palacio from St Matthews with St Pauls in Fulflood, Jill Buss from Village Voice, Tania Houston from the Chandler's Ford Directory, Janice Whittle from Sparsholt Parish News, Trish & Tony Patston from the Dever Advertiser, Judy Smith & Tony Stirling from Alresford, and Adrian Fleetwood & Jeanna Simms from St Bartholomew.
