Winchester MP, Steve Brine received a warm welcome from homeowners at McCarthy Stone’s Wayfarer Place retirement community in New Alresford, where he learned of how they are embracing independent living and have come together to form a close-knit and sociable community.
The MP joined residents and staff in the communal lounge for a friendly chat over coffee, taking time to answer questions, and talk to them about their motivations for moving and how they are settling into their new life.
During his visit, Mr Brine was also given a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities which have been designed to create a unique brand of retirement living in the local area with independence and community at its heart.
Mr Brine commented: “I was delighted to meet the homeowners at Wayfarer Place and understand how the development is supporting local retirees in our community. It was good to be back after laying the foundation stone in 2018!
“Developments like Wayfarer Place offer an excellent solution for those looking to enjoy an independent and active lifestyle in retirement.
