Winchester and Chandler’s Ford Member of Parliament, Steve Brine, has written to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to ensure Park Home residents have proper access to the energy bill rebate.
As a long-term member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Park Homes, Steve is working with colleagues to resolve the issue that many in Park Homes are experiencing, when trying to access the £400 rebate announced earlier this year by Rishi Sunak.
Mr Brine’s effort follows a letter sent by the Father of the House of Commons, Sir Peter Bottomley MP who leads the APPG.
Sonia McColl from the Park Homes Policy Forum in response to the backing of Steve and Sir Peter, told supporters; “We are not there yet - but we are certainly well on the way and I am quietly confident that a way will be found to give every home owner the £400 grant.”
The MP will publish the reply he receives on his website and social media pages.
