Steve Brine speaking with residents

Steve Brine spent the morning catching up with the team at the newly rebranded Winchester Beacon, formally Winchester Churches Nightshelter.

The charity changed its name to Winchester Beacon to more widely reflect its work as so much more than a night-shelter. The MP was present at the AGM when this change was announced.

Steve took time to meet with their Chief Executive, Michele Price, to hear about their plans as we look beyond Covid and what the future holds for this vital Winchester charity.

Speaking after his visit, Mr Brine said; “It was a pleasure to be at the AGM when the new name was unveiled so I wanted to pop in and catch-up on how it’s all coming together and meet some of the residents. I really enjoyed meeting them and, not for the first time, found the experience really moving."
