The exhibition is a result of New Alresford Town Council wanting to hear local views following a public meeting on May 27th at Perins School when the Sun Lane (Site 277) proposal was discussed.
A spokesman for New Alresford Town Council said: "The alternative scheme would spread the required development across sites to the west of New Farm Road and north of The Avenue.
"This would mean that employment growth would have to be through intensification of existing sites, with The Dean no longer being available to provide housing for the elderly.
"To meet the statutory Local Plan housing requirement for New Alresford, approximately 150 houses would still need to be built on the Sun Lane site, with the remainder of the site remaining in agricultural use."
