Steve Brine joined the Rail Minister Chris Heaton-Harris and other MPs at London Waterloo on Tuesday 22nd October as they review a new performance improvement centre.
The Winchester & Chandler’s Ford MP, himself a regular commuter, has long put rail issues at the centre of his work, holding public meetings which hold Network Rail and South Western Railway to account.
The focus of the morning visit was the Joint Performance Improvement Centre. This was set up after the Holden Review, where one of the 28 recommendations was this centre to improve performance.
Steve Brine said: “Interesting visit this morning to see the centre in operation. Each week a team from across NR and SWR meet up to analyse performance issues and discuss resolutions, through their values – start on time, stay on time, recover well and continuous improvement.
“I continue to hold both organisations closely to account and was pleased to see the centre this morning.”
