Steve Brine continued in his mission to formally visit every school in his constituency, as he spent part of Monday afternoon at St Faith's Church of England Primary School.
The Winchester MP spoke to children and staff at the St Cross school, and took a tour of the site led by new headteacher Dawn James.
Steve said: "This is a delightful school and I was struck by how bright and engaged the children were as we wondered through the school. They were so confident and relaxed which is great credit to the school and their parents. As ever, it was very useful to speak to the fantastic staff, who are led so well by Dawn James.
"You can really feel the Christian values in this school and their focus on Houses named after former Bishops of Winchester was excellent to see.
"It was also great to see the children busy on their designs for my annual Christmas Card competition, which is now in its fourth year. I can already see the judging this year will be tougher than ever!"
